Hunger Games

If you want a good eight to ten hours of good entertainment and freedom from infertile thoughts, you just HAVE to read the Hunger Games.

Actually, you probably already have, since I think I'm the last person in the US to have finally read it. But I had to share my excitement!

I'm gonna make Hubs read it IMMEDIATELY so we can go see the movie as soon as humanly possible. Any other fans out there? Is the movie as exciting as the book?!?

  1. I have not read it yet but every time I read a glowing review like yours it pushes me that much closer to snagging it. :)

Oh and I did see the movie and it was great.

  2. LOL...I have neither seen the movie nor read the book...but it is on my to-do list.

  3. I haven't read it yet either! For some reason I assumed it was a kids book, and put it in the same category as Twilight (which I didn't like). But I keep hearing about these books and the positive comments are doing a good job of persuading me! Hopefully your hubby gets on it asap so you can talk about it :-)

    1. I didn't like Twilight either! I read the first book and saw the movie... and just hated both! Hunger Games is at least 25x better. :)

  4. Not yet read this, I always love to read the books before seeing the movies and as Hubs really wants to see the movie I should get a move on! Worth the purchase then?!

    1. TOTALLY worth the purchase. I got it for $5 on the Kindle, and I'm ready to read #2 immediately, except that Hubs has to borrow the Kindle to read the first one. DENG IT!

  5. Don't feel bad I haven't read it yet either and to be honest I haven't finished the Twilight series either.

  6. Great series! You will definitely enjoy the other books and I agree that they are a great distraction from infertile thoughts :)

  7. I think I'm the oddball out, because after reading part of the first book I have no desire to finish the series or read the rest of it. I prefer to read the entire In Death series in order to numb my brain and stop obsessing, lol. Here via ICLW!

Good luck on your marathon, I did a half last year and it killed me, I can't imagine doing a full!
